TVs with Amazon Fire TV OS in 2017
The first Smart TV with a pre-installed Fire OS was the Element 4K. It supported 4K resolution up to 60 FPS. It came with Fire OS 5 (based on Android 5.1) and was only released in 2017. It was available in four sizes (43-inch, 50-inch, 55-inch, and 60-inch) and released exclusively in the USA.
Pricing started at $449 and went up to $899 for the largest model. Users complained about the poor picture quality, and this TV didn’t become very popular. However, Amazon will find other partners next year and see many more smart TVs with Fire OS.

In 2018, Amazon introduced four TVs equipped with pre-installed Fire OS. Insignia and Toshiba manufactured these TVs; some remained in production until 2020.
Starting that year, they became available not only in the US but also in Canada. These TVs were initially loaded with Fire OS 6. Here is a list of the TVs released in 2018:

- Toshiba HD – Fire TV (2018 – 2021)
You can examine the serial numbers to determine the manufacturing year of Toshiba or Insignia TVs. Pay attention to the last two digits: if they are “19,” it indicates a 2018 model; if they are “20,” it’s from 2019, and so on. Just look at the last digit and subtract one from it. Following this, Amazon expanded the availability of Fire OS-equipped TVs to other markets.
