Samsung’s 2024 OLED TV lineup includes the S90, S90D and S90DD variants, each targeting a different market segment in the US.

Model differentiation

The S90D model is a standard OLED TV that can be purchased directly from Samsung’s website and major online retailers such as Amazon. In contrast, the S90DD model is specifically designed for wholesalers, typically large retailers like Costco. TVs with the suffix “DD” are part of a special custom series, these TVs are featured on a separate page, which, however, does not include pricing.

Special options and personalizations

The S90DD models, denoted by unique codes such as QN55S90DDFXZA, QN65S90DDFXZA, QN77S90DDFXZA and QN83S90DDFXZA, are personalized versions of the standard models. These televisions may have minor differences to meet customer requirements and be attractive to the retail customer.

To make the S90DD TV stand out, it has improved acoustics. While the S90DA (S90D) has 40 watts of power and 2.1 acoustics. That is, two speakers and a subwoofer, then in the S90DD model the acoustics are more powerful, 60 watts of power and acoustics format 2.1.2, that is, three speakers and two subwoofers. Increasing the number of speakers allows you to get good sound without having to purchase external speakers

There are no more technical differences between the TVs, but pay attention to the warranty. Although Samsung offers a one-year warranty on both models, sellers of such special TV series often manipulate buyers and offer extended coverage of up to 5 years.
