In 2024, Samsung introduced a unique series of televisions called DUX1E in North America. This series is unique because it doesn’t fit Samsung TVs’ standard model numbering structure. Features of DUX1E
The first noticeable feature is that this series is only available in two screen sizes: 43 and 50 inches. This happens because Samsung had surplus components left over from the production of TVs in 2023. It seems that Samsung procured a larger quantity of 43—and 50-inch displays.
You should know that Samsung sources 100% of its LED displays from third-party manufacturers. For the 2024 TV lineup, such displays are no longer planned to be used, as a contract was likely signed with another supplier, and new models have been developed for the new displays. However, since it’s impractical to continue producing last year’s models, the decision was made to create an exclusive series of TVs utilizing these surplus components. Once the stock of components is exhausted, this model will be discontinued.
One of this model’s bonuses is that it runs on the Tizen 2024 OS (version 8) and comes with an updated remote control.
