Reconnecting fixes most problems because the new connection is established on the least busy channel with minimal interference. You’ll need to reboot the speaker (some models allow you to do this, and some don’t) or reset it to factory settings; you can do this with any Bose speaker.

A bit about the differences between rebooting and factory reset.

  • Reboot: all connection settings are retained; only user settings, such as sound level, are deleted, and the speaker is reconnected.
  • Factory Reset: This returns the speaker to its original state and deletes all settings, including connections. Below is a table with instructions for some Bose SoundLink models.
