Proton announced updates for Proton Mail and Proton Calendar

Proton is a company specializing primarily in products that provide maximum privacy and security. And soon, if you use Proton Mail and Proton Calendar, they will get even better as Proton has announced several new features for both services.

The company says it will add as many as six new features to Proton Mail. This list includes scheduled messaging. This means you can pre-set a date and time for sending the mail. Additionally, anti-tracking protection will be added to reduce the number of tracking emails, prevent senders from knowing when you opened the email, and much more. It will also appear the ability to set reminders to check and respond to emails, save them by category and search by the content of messages.

The company also said in its blog that it would work even harder to make its different services work together in different functions. They said, “One of our goals for 2023 is to create stronger cross-product integrations in the Proton ecosystem.” For example, the company cited, “If you write an email and attach a file that exceeds the Proton Mail limit, it will be automatically uploaded to Proton Drive and sent as a secure link. Similarly, we’ll make it easy to save email attachments you receive to Proton Drive.

If you use Proton Calendar, you’ll also get a few updates. For example, you’ll soon be able to create to-do lists or share your calendar with other Proton users. In addition, you’ll be able to switch the calendar/day view. Proton is constantly improving its services and trying to match the functionality of its competitors, such as Google. In doing so, the company is trying to maintain a commitment to security and privacy.
