If you are a fan of LG TVs and want to buy a C4 series OLED TV and live in the US or Canada, you must have noticed that LG offers two TV models such as OLED65C4AUA and OLED65C4PUA. There are reasons for creating two models, mainly marketing and the desire to sell as many TVs as possible. Here’s more about the differences between these models in various aspects.
Marketing Differences Between C4PUA and C4AUA
Selling TVs is a business, and LG offers select TV models to wholesalers. If you go to the LG website, note that the site has the 4AUA model, but there is no price. C4PUA has it, and you can order this model directly from LG. There are unique relationships between LG and such retailers, both in the price of TVs and the procedure for paying for goods. For example, at the time of writing, the C4AUA model can be purchased from the Jetson store. But, logically, the retailer will say, what is my benefit? If the TVs are the same, what might interest the buyer? Therefore, some technical characteristics of these models differ.
Technical differences between TV LG C4PUA and C4AUA
To interest the buyer, the C4AUA model has some improvements and here they are.
- Model C4AUA comes with an AN-MR24GN remote control, and model C4PUA comes with an AN-MRGA remote control. To understand the TV, model C4AUA has a Magic remote control with an NFC module, but the C4PUA does not have an NFC.
- The second difference is that the C4AUA model supports WiFi6, while the standard PUA model supports WiFi5. WiFi6 is a new, faster protocol for transferring information between devices. But honestly, if you look at it from the point of view of a TV user, you won’t notice any difference between WiFi5 and WiFi6.

If you are choosing which TV model to buy, I would focus on the price, because the technical specifications differ very slightly and it is not worth focusing on them. WiFi, as I said, there is no difference at all what kind, the speed and WiFi5 are quite sufficient for watching any movies. The presence of NFC in the remote control is not fundamental for me.
