Every year, TVs are getting more complicated, especially the Samsung Smart TV lineup. Samsung is introducing new features that enhance your experience. Of course, we should keep in mind, that most of the new features are created more as a marketing move and are rarely used by common users.
However, there are some very useful innovations that can really make a difference in the picture quality of your TV.
One of the useful features is the Intelligent Mode, which can make a great difference in your watching experience.
How Intelligent Mode works on Samsung Smart TV
Intelligent Mode is a great feature that enhances your watching experience by recognizing your surroundings and identifying the content you are watching.
This feature is powered by artificial intelligence that automatically adjusts your TV’s settings based on the “Intelligent Mode” option you select.
There five different Intelligent Mode options:
- Adaptive Display – a major option of the Intelligent Mode that optimizes brightness and provides the best possible picture quality in real-time based on the ambient light level in your room. For example, if your room is very bright, this mode can automatically increase the brightness so that you can see the screen better.
- Adaptive Sound + – this option analyzes the acoustic components and the viewing space and then uses the analyzed information to provide optimized sound quality.
- Adaptive Volume – this option analyzes the usage history of the volume over time and automatically adjusts the volume. This feature is very useful when you often switch to an external input source.
- Adaptive Voice Enhancer – This option analyzes the ambient noise and provides a comfortable sound depending on the noise level.
- Adaptive brightness – a feature you can find on 2020 QLED TV models. This mode automatically adjusts the brightness of the backlight using ambient light sensors.
All of these modes work together to create the most comfortable experience for watching content and make your TV really smart.
What are pitfalls of Intelligent Mode on Samsung Smart TVs
Even this smart mode may not satisfy all users. For example, users often disable Adaptive Volume because it limits the sound volume depending on the content and if you want to use your TV at full volume, it’s not the best option for you.
Also, many people turn off Adaptive Brightness as they’re annoyed by the brightness change while watching content.
Some of these options will only be available if the TV audio output is set to “TV Speaker”. This option may not be supported by some modes or apps such as Ambient Mode, Art Mode, and Game Mode.
How to configure Intelligent Mode
In a few steps, you can turn off or on the Intelligent Mode mode completely. You can also switch to any feature and choose which option is really important to you.
