How to add someone with a QR code in Venmo

If the person you want to add to your list of friends is in the same place, you can do something different. You can ask them to share the QR code of their account so that you don’t have to search for it manually. You can do this on any mobile device with simple steps:

• You need:
  • Navigate to the menu using the burger button at the top left of the screen.
  • Click on Search People.
  • It would help if you had the Scan Code button at the top of the list.
  • This will open the camera to scan the QR code.
• For the other user to show their QR code, they need the following:
  • Click on the burger button at the top left.
  • The QR code button will be near the profile icon at the top of the menu. It is necessary to click on it to open the QR code.

After that, scan the QR code of your friend. It will take you to the page of another user. After this, it will be enough to add the user to the friend list to send money transfers.

How to add someone from your contact list on Venmo

You also can add multiple people as friends at once. To do this, you can synchronize your Venmo account with your smartphone contact list and your Facebook friends list. To do this, you need the following:

• Click on the burger button at the top left of the home page.
• In the drop-down menu, click Settings.
• In Settings, you need to select Friends & Social.
• To sync your contacts, turn on Phone Contacts.
• To sync Facebook friends, you must first enable Facebook Connect and then enable Facebook Contacts.

Then, all users whose accounts are connected with phone numbers from your contact list or who have connected their accounts with Facebook will automatically be added to your friend list on Venmo. Afterward, I recommend you go to your friend list and remove all unnecessary contacts.
