Fortunately, smart mobile devices recognize and allow you to keep your phone number right in the settings, in the device information menu.

How to find mobile number on Android mobile device
If you want to know how to find your mobile number on your Android mobile device, you have to follow these steps:
- First of all, open your contacts;
- Choose “Me” from the top of the list to see your number.
If you don’t see “Me” in your contacts, you have to try another way to find your phone number:
- Open “Settings”;
- Find “About phone” or “About device” and select it;
- Then choose “Status” and “SIM Status” and then “My Phone Number”.
You can also try to open “About phone”, scroll down and select “All specs” and “Status”.
How to add mobile number to your Android smartphone
As stated above, you can also add your number to your contacts. If you want to do that, you have to follow these steps:
- First of all, go to your contacts;
- Then, tap “Create new contact” (might be in the top of the screen);
- Add your name or “my number”, your phone number and if you want you can add your photo to be sure not to make a mistake.
Some smartphones may display your phone number as “Unknown”. If this happens to you, there are several ways to solve the problem.
First of all, try to turn your smartphone off and on again. If that doesn’t help, go to Phone Settings and go to Connections > Other Connections > Reset Network Settings. The phone will turn off and then turn back on and the number should show up.
If this does not help, a better idea will be to contact your service provider. You’ll probably need a new SIM card.
