All Galaxy Watches have a serial number, and if your watch can connect to a mobile network, it also has an IMEI – a unique identifier for the mobile radio module.
Finding the serial number on the box
Once the watch has been manufactured, a sticker is placed on the box to provide information about the watch, such as the serial number. However, there is one nuance here: devices with LTE module usually do not have a serial number – only IMEI.
This is due to the fact that when registering mobile devices on the official website, the IMEI is usually used as a unique identifier. If your watch doesn’t have a radio module for LTE, the serial number will be indicated on the box. For example, the Samsung Galaxy Watch5 Pro model R920, which doesn’t have a radio module (no eSIM), has the serial number printed on the box. On the other hand, the R925 model, which has an LTE module, only has the IMEI listed.
If you cannot find the serial number on the box or you no longer have the box, you need to find the serial number in the watch settings.
Locating the Serial Number in the Watch Settings
To find the serial number on your Samsung Galaxy Watch, follow these simple steps:
- Press the Home button on your Samsung Galaxy Watch.
- Swipe upwards on the screen.
- In the application menu, select Settings (gear icon).
- Scroll down and tap on About Watch.
Here, you’ll find both the serial number and the IMEI.
These instructions apply to all Samsung Galaxy Watch models. If you don’t see an IMEI field, it means your watch doesn’t support LTE.
Finding the Serial Number Using the IMEI
Another way to locate your device’s serial number is by using the IMEI. Manufacturers maintain a comprehensive IMEI database that links the IMEI to other important details, such as the serial number, device model, and production date.
By using IMEI lookup services, like IMEI24 or IMEICheck, you can easily find the serial number of your watch.
