You may have noticed that whenever someone views your profile on TikTok, a notification appears in the top right corner with a small picture of that user profile. You can tap on it and see the full list of accounts that have viewed your TikTok profile in the last 30 days.
However, there is one nuance. You can see who viewed your TikTok only if you and this person have enabled the profile view history feature. It is also only available to TikTok users aged 16 and older with less than 5,000 subscribers.
So let’s take a closer look at how it works.
How to see who watched your TikTok profile
Actually, the profile view history feature should be enabled by default. But sometimes it’s not. So let me first show you how to turn it on:
- Open TikTok and go to your profile.
- Tap on the hamburger button at the top right corner and select Settings and privacy.
- After that, navigate to Privacy, scroll down, and select Profile views.
- Finally, turn this feature on.
Now you will be able to see who viewed your profile. For this, follow these steps:
- Go back to your TikTok profile.
- Check the top right corner. If someone visits your TikTok, you should see their small profile picture. If no one did it, you should see only the footprints icon.
- So tap on this icon to see the list of people who viewed your TikTok profile in the last month.
Remember that if you visit someone else’s profile page and they have enabled this setting as well, they will be able to see that you have visited their TikTok.
How to see who watched your TikTok videos
You can also see who has watched your TikTok video. However, this option is only available for the first 7 days after you post it. After that, this information will be hidden, and you can only see the number of views.
To see who viewed your TikTok video, go to it and tap on the number of views.
How to see who liked your TikTok videos
It took me a while to figure out how to see who liked my videos on TikTok. First, I tried to find this information under More data (you can see this button in the screenshot above). But it only has general stats on likes, views, comments, and adds to Favorites.
As it turns out, the list of people who liked your videos or added them to Favorites is in Activities under the Inbox tab.
- So go to Activities, as shown in the screenshot below.
- Then tap All activity at the top.
- Select Likes and Favorites in the drop-down list.
- Finally, tap on the needed video someone liked.
You should see a list of all the people who liked your video. It works in the same way with Favorites.
Can I make my TikTok account private?
Yes, you can make your TikTok account private. When you set your TikTok account to private, only users you approve as followers can see your videos, view your profile, and interact with your content.
Here’s how you can make your TikTok account private:
- Open TikTok and go to your profile.
- Tap on the hamburger button at the top right corner and select Settings and privacy.
- After that, navigate to Privacy and enable the Private account feature.
Once you’ve completed these steps, your TikTok account will be set to private.
Remember that this setting only affects users who are not already following you. If you already have subscribers and have set your account to private, those subscribers will still be able to see your content unless you remove them from your subscriber list.
