- First of all, you will need to go to Google Play Store and search for Disney Plus (If you’re from India – you will need to search for Disney Plus Hotstar app).
- Choose Install.
- After the app would be downloaded – go to the Home screen, find the app and open it.
- Sign in with your Disney Plus credentials.
- Find Disney Plus on the Home screen and run the app.
- Search for the content you want to watch.
- Choose Play.
Disney recommends you have a high-speed connection to be able to watch content without lags. If you have a poor or unstable connection – you can download content to watch offline.
What Android TVs support Disney Plus
To support Disney Plus – Android TV should be running Android OS Lollipop 5.0 or later. There are no other limitations, so any TV or set-top box with Android OS 5.0+ can run the Disney Plus app and you can install it.
Taking into account Android Lolipop was released back in 2014 – almost any Android TV has a later OS, so I don’t think you can face the problem with that.
Can you watch Disney Plus 4K content on Android TV
The short answer is: yes, you can. There are around 120 4K movies on Disney Plus. However, to watch 4K content, you will need to have a 4K TV.
Also, if we speak about set-top boxes running Android OS – make sure it can output a 4K signal (you can check that in specifications).
Don’t forget that 4K content demands a high-speed Internet connection, at least 25 Mbps. If your Internet connection isn’t fast enough – you can download Disney Plus content to watch offline, so you won’t face lags.
How much is Disney Plus per month?
Disney Plus offers a lot of bundling options – including bundling with Hulu or ESPN streaming services. However, if you want to subscribe for Disney Plus only – it will cost only $8 a month.
However, you can also subscribe, for example, to Disney Plus, Hulu (ad-free) + Live TV, and ESPN+ bundle, which will cost $79 a month. So, everything depends on your needs.
