Valeriy Odintsov

Let’s be clear. YouTube TV is not a streaming service like Netflix or Paramount Plus. It is a live TV service, i.e., a substitute for regular cable TV. YouTube TV has even been heralded as one of the best live TV streaming services in 2023.

According to this, as you can realize, its price starts not from $6 per month (like Paramount Plus) but from $73. And guess what? It’s still cheaper than most cable services.

So, uh, it’s $72.99 for the most basic plan. What’s included? Over 100 channels, including popular news, entertainment, and sports. Unlimited DVR storage, which allows you to record your favorite shows and store them for up to 9 months. And much more.

But here’s the thing about YouTube TV. Want to watch more and in better quality? You pay. The service offers features and add-ons for an additional fee.

For example, the 4K Plus add-on allows you to watch content in 4K resolution on an unlimited number of devices (on your home network) and watch recordings offline. All this goodness costs +$10 per month on top of the base plan. Sneaky, but it might be worth it.

And there are tons more such add-ons at different prices. I’ll tell you about them below.

What are YouTube TV and add-ons prices?

Actually, I didn’t give you a little bit of a clue at the beginning. YouTube TV has a limited-time special offer right now (at the time of writing). You can pay for your first 3 months $64.99/mo instead of $72.99/mo. But of course, you will have to pay full price after this period. Nevertheless, this is a nice bonus for newcomers.

As for the add-ons, there are no discounts on them right now.

So, YouTube TV Base Plan costs $72.99/mo without annual contracts. Just pay and watch. It’s pretty clear here. And the same goes for Spanish Plan. It costs $34.99/mo and includes only Spanish networks.

What is NFL Sunday Ticket, and how much is it?

NFL Sunday Ticket, which was previously exclusive to DirecTV, allows viewers to watch almost any NFL game every week. Starting from the 2023-24 NFL season, this service will be available on both YouTube and YouTube TV. This transition aims to make the NFL Sunday Ticket accessible to a wider audience, moving away from the constraints of satellite TV.

Pricing:

  • NFL Sunday Ticket on YouTube TV: This package provides around 100 linear channels, unlimited recording, local broadcast channels, and the NFL Sunday Ticket itself. It is priced at $349 for the entire season (annual price). If you also wish to include NFL RedZone, the total cost becomes $389.
  • NFL Sunday Ticket on YouTube (YouTube Primetime Channels): This option allows you to subscribe directly via YouTube. It doesn’t offer additional linear or broadcast channels, focusing solely on YouTube and the NFL Sunday Ticket. This subscription costs $449 for the season. If you want to add NFL RedZone, the price increases to $489.

The NFL Sunday Ticket is now available in the YouTube TV account settings as an add-on. While the 2023 regular NFL season begins on September 7, the NFL Sunday Ticket games will start airing on September 10.
