It’s been more than a year since the release of the new consoles, and people still remember with pleasant nostalgia the generation before the last consoles, PS3 and Xbox 360. Including many Xbox 360 fans miss the old-school gamepad, which may not have been as handy as today, but it looked lovely and enjoyable to play with. The good news is that soon you will be able to buy a remaster of such a controller for the new Xbox Series consoles and PC. That’s precisely what Hyperkin is working on.

The new controller will be an officially certified emulation of the Xbox 360 controller, designed to work with modern Xbox consoles such as the Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X, as well as with modern PCs running Windows 10 and Windows 11. It will be called Hyperkin Xenon and is being produced by Hyperkin. It will look and feel like the Xbox 360 controller released in 2005.

The changes will affect some of the buttons to match the modern controllers. For example, it will have the Share button. I also added a headphone jack and USB-C port. But the controller itself should be almost identical to the Xbox 360 controller. Its appearance and shape are practically indistinguishable from the original. The manufacturer also left the aesthetics of this controller and button configurations. The only catch is that you have to use it only in wired mode.

It will be available at the beginning of next year, but so far, without a specific date. At the moment, the pre-order or in-store page is not yet public.
